Mumbai: The former Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hasan Gafoor, did not display enough initiative and fell short on vision and leadership qualities in the face of the November 26, 2008 terror strikes in Mumbai, states the Ram Pradhan Committee probe report.
Mr. Gafoor was the Commissioner during 26/11.
However, the government rejected the indictment in its Action Taken Report.
The government did not table the report, but its excerpts are included in the ATR tabled in the State Legislature on Tuesday. In the excerpts, Mr. Gafoor is the only officer among the top brass, to be criticised squarely for his role.
