NEW DELHI: India on Monday said it would wait for a formal response from Pakistan before reacting to the steps taken by Islamabad to book the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks. “We await a formal response. The picture is not clear,” said sources in the Ministry of External Affairs on reports that the Pakistan Cabinet’s Defence Committee chaired by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani considered the material provided by India on the involvement of its nationals in the attacks and the course of its own investigations so far.
