75.64 p.c. polling in Kadapa district

KADAPA: Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency recorded 75.70 per cent polling and Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency recorded 75.51 per cent polling yesterday, with a district average of 75.64 per cent which is 5.02 per cent higher than what was recorded in 2004 elections.

Kamalapuram Assembly segment recorded the highest polling percentage of 84 (74.29 p.c. in 2004), followed by 83.99 p.c. (80.08) in Jammalamadugu and 80.37 p.c. (74.93) in Mydukur.

The polling percentages in other segments are Pulivendula – 78.26 (75.61),

Proddatur – 76.35 (69.56), Rayachoti – 76.05 (67.13), Rajampet – 75.80 (69.93), Kodur (SC) – 74.11 (71.80),

Badvel (SC) - 72.55 (71.70) and Kadapa segment recorded the least polling percentage of 59.20 (as against 57.69 p.c. in 2004 polls).
